Why Does My Tracking Say “Delivered to an Agent for Final Delivery”?Updated 4 days ago

If your tracking update shows “Delivered to an Agent for Final Delivery”, don’t worry — this status means your package was handed off to a person or facility authorized to accept mail on your behalf. This may include a front desk clerk, leasing office, mailroom, doorman, or another authorized recipient at your delivery address.

In some cases, UPS or FedEx may hand the package off to USPS for final delivery. When this happens, the original carrier may mark the order as “Delivered to Agent” while USPS completes the final handoff within 1–2 business days.

What You Can Do:

  1. Check with your leasing office, concierge, or front desk — they may have accepted the package for you.
  2. Ask neighbors or building management if they received the package by mistake.
  3. If you’re still unable to locate your package after 2 business days, contact the carrier directly using your tracking number for an update.

Note: “Delivered to an Agent for Final Delivery” does not mean your package is lost. It is still en route through the final step of the delivery process. Please allow 1–2 business days for it to arrive.
