How to Place Your First Order of Raw Human Hair ExtensionsUpdated 16 days ago
Ordering raw human hair for the first time? We’re here to walk you through it. Raw hair is beautifully unique because it is collected from real donors and kept close to its natural state. That natural variation is what gives raw hair its realistic movement, texture, and character — but it also makes proper planning important before you place your order.
Before ordering, it helps to understand your texture, length, desired fullness, and install method so you can choose the right amount of hair and the best match for your style goals.
Before ordering: Review our Hair Quantity Guide and our Texture & Color Matching Help page so you can choose the right amount and texture with more confidence.
What You Should Know Before Ordering
Raw hair varies from bundle to bundle. No two bundles will be perfectly identical — and that is part of what makes raw hair look natural, soft, and believable.
Order everything together when possible. We recommend ordering all bundles, closures, frontals, or packs together to help achieve the closest possible match in pattern, tone, and texture.
Plan based on your install method. A sew-in, wig, I-Tip install, or K-Tip install may require a different amount of hair, even if the final look seems similar.
Choose the closest match before making color changes. Some raw or virgin human hair may be professionally colored or toned, but starting with the closest texture and color family gives you a better result and helps protect the hair.
Tip: If you're returning for a second order and trying to match a previous purchase, contact us first. We’ll do our best to accommodate your request, but exact matches can’t be guaranteed due to the natural nature of raw hair.
How Many Bundles or Packs Do I Need?
The amount of hair you need depends on the texture, length, fullness, your natural density, and the type of install you are planning. Use our Hair Quantity Guide to compare bundles and packs before placing your order.
General Guide:
Fine or lower-density hair: 2–3 bundles for wefts, or a lighter pack recommendation for strand-by-strand installs
Medium-density hair: 3–4 bundles or packs for a fuller, natural-looking result
Thick, coarse, or high-density hair: 4–5+ bundles or packs, especially for longer lengths or extra fullness

Choose the Right Texture and Color Before Ordering
For first-time orders, texture and color matching matter just as much as the amount of hair. Raw hair can vary in tone, curl pattern, wave pattern, and fullness because it is not overly processed to look identical from bundle to bundle.
If you are unsure which texture will blend best with your leave-out, natural hair, or desired style, visit our Texture & Color Matching Help page before placing your order.
Helpful reminder: Clear, current photos in natural lighting help our team guide you more accurately. This is especially important if you are trying to match leave-out, a previous purchase, or a specific raw texture.
